The official recap/resolution/whatever of ROJ for 2011

For me resolutions are an indicator of where you are versus where you want to be this time next year. I am proud to say I made it to where I want to be as I close out 2011. Less than 6 months ago I was ashamed to show my face to the world. My one piece of perfection was a passion for running. Currently I love my life and I’m excited to meet new people at any opportunity, yet I’m banished from my sport (for now). It’s amazing how complex and wonderful our lives can be, with or without planning.

In 2012 One resolution is to judge less and listen more. Nothing is black and white anymore. There is never such a thing as an easy choice. Friends don’t always stop talking to you out of a lack of love, but sometimes as a self preservation tool. I vow to close my lips and hold hands more often and to speak up instead of walking away when needed.

That is my serious effort.
For my fun effort?

I want to try something new every week. Maybe it’s a new class at a gym? Maybe it’s a new recipe? Maybe it’s a new city? I want to explore and learn and feel wonder for all that is around me. School isn’t a life suck anymore, but that is no excuse to stop asking questions and seeking answers.

And now for the highlights aka a recap of 2011
